MEDIA RELEASE: Kololi Central Crowned Super Cup Champions as Nawettan 2025 Officially Kicks-Off

The Manjai Sports Association (MSA) is pleased to announce the successful staging of the Super Cup Final on Saturday, 6th September 2025, at the Father Gough Sports Complex, officially kick-starting Nawettan 2025.

In a thrilling encounter, Kololi Central FC and Lemon Tree FC played out a 1–1 draw in regulation time with Saikou Darboe(Kololi Central) and Modou Jallow(Lemon Tree) scoring for their teams, before Kololi Central held their nerves in a dramatic penalty shootout, triumphing 4–3 to lift the coveted Super Cup trophy.

The occasion was graced by Chief Guest of Honour, Mr. Lamin Kaba Bajo, President of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF), who also performed the ceremonial kick-off.

A special recognition goes to the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) for sponsoring the rehabilitation of the Father Gough Sports Complex, particularly the facilities and playing ground, which ensured a befitting venue for the return of competitive football.

This memorable Super Cup Final not only celebrated the champions, Kololi Central, but also symbolised unity, community pride, and the enduring passion of grassroots football.
