Manjai Sports Association ("MSA", "we", "us", or "our") operates the MSA mobile application and the website manjaisports.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Display name
  • Email address (for email registration) or phone number (for phone registration)
  • Password (securely hashed, never stored in plain text)

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those services. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the app:

  • Teams and players you follow
  • Notification preferences (match alerts, results, voting reminders, news, transfers)
  • Theme and display preferences
  • Votes cast in player voting sessions

Booking and Payment Information

When you book a venue, we collect booking details (date, time, venue) and contact information. If you upload a payment receipt image, that image is transmitted securely to our server. We do not process credit card or bank details directly.

Club Management Data

If you are a club manager, you may submit player information (name, date of birth, position, jersey number, contact details) and team lineup data on behalf of your club.

Push Notification Tokens

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications. Your device token is collected to deliver notifications you have opted into. You can disable notifications at any time in the app settings.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

  • Location data
  • Device identifiers (IMEI, UDID)
  • Contacts, call logs, or SMS data
  • Camera or microphone data (except when you explicitly upload a receipt photo)
  • We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the MSA app and website
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Send push notifications for matches, results, and updates you subscribe to
  • Process venue bookings and registrations
  • Enable player voting sessions
  • Allow club managers to manage their team rosters and match data

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data transmission between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

  • With Firebase (Google) for push notification delivery
  • When required by law or legal process
  • To protect the rights and safety of MSA, our users, or the public

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you log out, your authentication data is removed from your device. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Opt out of push notifications at any time
  • Withdraw consent for data processing

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
